I understand the spirit of what you're saying, but it breaks my heart to hear of people getting hacked or identity thieved.  While I'm in that "older generation" demo, I'm also pretty technically adept... managed I.T. at a small firm up until 3 years ago, and am the go-to tech guy for several family and friends.  I don't have a digital "wallet" because it's one more way to get robbed, IMO.  Bothers me that companies/bands try to force me to take on another level of exposure, most likely because it's more convenient or profitable for them than because of any great concern of me getting scammed.
