This was my first Pearl Jam show, eighteen years ago, and I am listening to the bootleg now.
Who else was there and what memories do you have from that night?
I remember them opening with a handful of songs from Binaural, as this was the tour for that album, before launching into Corduroy. The album had been set to be released the week of the gig I recall, but it got brought forward a fortnight. That gave me a chance to familiarise myself with the songs before hearing them live.
Feels like a very long time ago!

In some actual journalism, we went along to see Pearl Jam play Wembley Arena and decided that their performance was worth the full 5K treatment, which we justified and backed up with the can’t-fuck-wit-it pull-quote, ‘Pearl Jam are having fun’. So there you have it.
