RIP my guilty pleasure (no more framing ticket stubs w/ show posters)

Let me say, that I completely understand the idea behind the new policy for 10c tickets for the Home & Away shows...  

But I really dislike the policy for those of us that save ticket stubs for every show we attend, and for those of us that love framing the tickets with the show posters.

I guess I can look on the bright side and thank 10c for saving me a few dollars on framing costs, even though it’s SO WORTH the extra money for customizing poster collections.

    I know not the same, but perhaps print a screenshot of the barcode screen on some high quality stock? Still has section and seat info.

    I've asked the same question. Petty did it on his last tour and they turned out awesome.

    Can ticketmaster print a proper tix after the gig? I dont mind paying $10. No way i’m printing this mobile tix and pt it on display

    I like keeping my ticket stubs as well. I went to a Tom Petty show last year and it was just an email confirmation ticket.

    A couple months later they gave us the option of purchasing a cool 3D laminated commemorative Souvenir ticket for cheap. Love it. You just had to give them the venue/show you attended and they added the show details.

    They even have the designs they could use already done for the home and away shows. Should be very easy for 10c to set up.

    TM may print one for you at their box office or you can find numerous places online that you can make a ticket generator.

    Hell if a scalper can make them it shouldn't be too hard to make one up, no?

    You'll just have to plug your phone in and tuck it up into the frame with the ticket on the screen and just figure out a way to keep it lit up for all to see. I don't see the problem here, folks!

    Really though, that sucks, I also have kept stubs from every show I've gone to since 1998. I dislike when it's a will call only option or the venue takes your ticket, I want the damn copy as well as the memory! In recent year, I've been lucky in the way of finding ticket stubs on the floor at venues that people drop, so I'm hoping I can find one someone leaves behind.

    Screenshot and print, as has been shared.  Should be able to get a decent looking ticket.  I have a shitload of tickets from about 1992 and I get keeping them...will just have to find a way.

    That's a good idea.  They usually end up on ebay later too.

    I've asked and they can't based off of their computer system won't allow printing once an event has ended.  I had front row GAs for a Foo Fighters show in Cincinnati in 2017 and my friend used the mobile option.  She got Taylor Hawkins drumstick at the end of the concert and regrets not getting physical tickets.

    As a vintage ticket collector I am kinda torn on this whole issue.  I certainly understand the OP's point and I would be upset too, but on the other hand eliminating unnecessary paper in 2018 as well as all the efficiency and added security of knowing you can't really "lose" or have your ticket stolen makes a lot of sense to me.

    Look at it this way.  Now that hard tickets are obsolete you can focus on completing any collections you may be working on can now done knowing there won't be any more necessary additions.

    Just my 2 cents.

    I have every ticket stub to every concert I've been to since my very first concert on July 17, 1976. I am hoping that they'll be handing out "generic" paper tickets (No section/seat info..just the artist & date) as you exit the venue. If they do not it'll be the end of a rather long run and, honestly...I'll be pissed.

    I called in to PJ radio when the rob had the ticketmaster guy on to field questions when they announced they were going mobile with tickets. He said that there is nothing in the plans for this tour but the possibility for future tours they would offer a commemorative ticket option to be mailed out after the shows. I, like many of you, frame my ticket with the poster. If anyone else has good ideas on what to do now please share.

    I will also miss the stubs.  I've got scattered ones from before '96, and pretty much every show I've attended after '96.   I'll probably do the screenshot thing, but it doesn't look the same.  It doesn't neatly display the info.  Abbreviates the name.  Band name is in in the backgroun.  Doesn't have the venue...  It'd be cooler if they made the screenshots nicer.

    The sad thing is, there's no animations on the tickets or anything.   This does save paper, but people will be able to easily swap their tickets via screenshots :(
