    I'm thinking it's desperation. They can see the writing on the wall for the November elections.  waving :)

    It's only going to get worse from here on out until after November.

    The whole GOP are a disgrace at this point Goudy is a hypocrite at the highest level , please someone tell me what has become of any of the rabbit holes he's had the nation follow him thru for naught ? please someone post when any of the investigations have ben succesful no wonder he's retiring from congress he sucks at hi's job like most of politicians on both sides of the ile ....

    This is very true.  But it's the THE party in America.  The Democrats are just there, which won't be enough to change anything in the foreseeable future.

    I don't think it's desperation.  I think they know that if they just repeat the lies over and over, they'll generally be believed.  This should be good enough for them to retain both houses this fall.  That ties into the the above comment on Trumpism...history will show the GOP to be at fault for what's going to be a disaster.  But it will be too late.  

    Putin's playing Trump like a fiddle.  That makes sense because Trump's a self-centered nitwit.  But the rest of the GOP is letting it happen.  Actually, that's not fair; they're helping facilitate it.  That's going to look really, really bad one day.  But right now, it's working.
