If this person had somehow got five of these, then I'd feel differently, but there was a one per person limit. I assume they only got one, and they're free to do with it as they please, no matter how much it offends my sensibilities. Would it be any better if they waited a few weeks/months/years before asking outlandish money for it? When that happens, people seem to be more "ok" with it.
To me, this is very different from the people who buy 10 of something at a show, shutting out the people behind them in line. There should be limits set and enforced at the merch tents. If a flipper gets in line, waits all day, buys their two poster limit, then wants to try to turn a profit on them, then I'm ok with that, even if I don't love the idea of it. it's their prerogative. But if they are able to get their hands on 10 or 20 or even 5, that's overboard in my opinion.
BTW, I'm not trying to pick on you. Your post just triggered some interesting thoughts for me, that's all.
Or At least have some patience or be a bit more subtle0 -

Just wondering, when the mystery boxes/tubes went out 2 years ago, and people were posting what they got and saying available for sale (in that post), are they considered flippers since they really were only buying the boxes in hopes of one of the grails?0

Point is, people are buying these items with no intent of keeping the contents if it is not a Pittsburgh 2013, Cracker Jack, Kong, etc. Essentially, a gambling flipper.0 -

I don't mind people participating in a blind raffle in the hopes of getting a specific item they want and then selling the item if they have no intention of keeping it. But at least their initial intention was to buy a poster to keep, they just didn't get lucky. I already sold posters that I bought thinking I was going to hang them and ended up having them stored away for years. I sold them to fellow fans for the price I payed or less but I understand that sometimes the demand for a specific poster might raise the price.
What I take issue with is this situation where people are stepping in between the fans and the items they want to purchase, hugely increasing the prices and making a big profit. Items that, if unsold at the venue, would end up in the 10C online store where we would easily purchase them.
What do we need these middlemen for? Nothing. They're not necessary, they're not adding any value to the production chain. It's not like I want some mexican avocados and someone's travelling there and bringing them to my front door on the other side of the world. These people are buying all the items in the market and then increasing prices due to scarcity.

Can we go back to Waffle talk?

How's this for a waffle.
Had these in Ghent, traveled there for a few days after the Amsterdam show. You haven't had a waffle until you've had a real Belgian waffle!
