This is the "government" that some on here are afraid of, despite the legislative process.
The Massachusetts legislature just passed critical gun safety legislation! This extreme risk protection order (ERPO) bill will allow judges to temporarily keep firearms away from people who show warning signs of gun violence, and the governor is set to sign it into law any day.
A victory like this is enormously meaningful. Had legislation like this been in place in Florida, it might have prevented the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. It's also proof that we can make meaningful, lifesaving change at the state and local levels without waiting on Congress.
But we can't let this victory be an end – it's just another step. Right now, several other states are considering ERPO bills. We need your immediate help to build on this powerful momentum and pass lifesaving legislation across the country.

Every minute of every day, I face the unrelenting fact that my sweet little Daniel's murder was preventable. That's why I'm asking for your help now to pass ERPOs. The NRA likely lost a longstanding member which is probably their biggest concern from this event.
