My school band played this.  It was my favorite piece of music I have ever played whilst in school band.

I bet...such a fun little song...the horns in that song probably sounded fantastic played in school band! What instrument did you play in school band and were you in the marching band?? My stepdad was in the drum corp and always played the competitions for me when I was a kid.  We would rewatch competitions from the 70's/early 80's once he discovered Youtube. RIP Jim. Good stuff.

Tenor sax was my instrument.  I once learned to play the Peanuts theme song and LOVED to play that.  It is soooo fin, lol.  So yes, the horns when they kicked in, especially the breakdown of that song was a lot of fun to hear all the instruments in the band come together in an upbeat rhythm.  Then as I got older the music teachers weren't as fun anymore and the song selections got really boring so I stopped playing in Band.  Playing Bachs Fuge and Prelude to Fuge were fantastic songs to play.

No on the Marching band.  That just wasn't cool back then, at least for my school.  The same teacher that made me want to quit band was the marching band teacher so that's why I never joined.  She was a boring and play it safe teacher where my previous one was avant garde.

I'd like a link to the competitions.  That'd be fun to watch!
