i just wanted to pass along our sincere thanks to you all for the beautiful donation that was made to The Quinlan Foundation....so far, we have donated over $5000 in cash or instruments to economically challenged K-12 schools in Skully's home state of North Carolina, where his children are growing up. This expression of love in his memory has touched us deeply. Please look up and follow The Quinlan Foundation on FB to see how we have used money previously donated, and how we will use the money you have donated. Also, if any of you are pick collectors, one of Skully's family members recently donated to us a mint (possibly the nicest one in existence) Scully is God/Stone guitar pick that we will be waffling through the Foundation page in the very near future. Without a doubt, this is such a surreal experience. 

It feels wonderful to be included in this amazing alumni of recipients. 

When I first learned about the Holy Grail a few years back I was excited, I thought it was a brilliant idea, and I couldn’t wait to help donate to these acts of kindness; plus, cmon  following the “chosen ones” is so fun! 

I love reading the threads about each person getting their Holy Grail!!! I never imagined it could be me!! I am super happy!! My mind is blown!! - Serious!! 

Pearl Jam means a bunch to me - I have been an enamoured fan from early on - which isn’t easy on the other side of the planet from Seattle. It started with the music & lyrics, bootlegs, live shows, reading and hearing stories - the musicians with what they stand for... then I got into the merchandise, collecting, trades, sharing & helping other fans - its all a bit nice. The people you meet on this all encompassing trip are all like long lost friends, and the sense of community here is strong. Some feel like family. I am pleased beyond words this exists. Life is complicated and chaotic at times, but when it gives you these special moments it feels immeasurably spectacular. I wish I could give everyone a fat hug for this and yes I am smiling bigtime!! THANKYOU for your generosity!!

My Holy Grail is the 1996 Pearl Jam Merriweather Poster “the mermaid” and I am so pleased to say I love it!! When it arrived I didn’t know what to do I was so beside myself!! Unwrapping it felt incredible!! I cried on seeing it (**in a non weirdo happy way - just saying) It’s Gorgeous!! I adore it even more now it’s in real life!! The artwork is exquisite and the colours pop - the detail is extraordinary!! The poster has always somehow eluded me but regardlessly I have admired it for years ... I chose it to be my grail because I love the idea of the mermaid. I have liked the ocean ever since I was a kid, I enjoy the feeling of being free and at the same time intrinsically connected to nature when I swim. 

This poster I promise to treasure always, and it will remain as a significant crowning jewel of my collection, that I will continue to feel a great fondness for every time I look at it for years to come.

THANKYOU so much to all that helped make this happen. Thanks for thinking of me and giving me this memory. I will speak of this with great pride and enthusiasm forever. 

THANKYOU so much also for helping with a donation to - “the Quinlan Foundation” - an epic group that I hope everyone who isn’t already familiar with them, can take a few minutes and read about them, share with others about them, and get onboard! They are lovely people, (like you all are) and they are doing so much good it is to be commended!!
