So many games being postponed. The whole 3 game Twins/White Sox series didn't even get played. I don't think that's happened since I've been watching
It's crazy this year.  It will never ever happen, but they need to knock 20-25 games off the schedule and start the season a month later.  The season is just too long.

I know there are about 10 topics with specific teams, so this one can get the other 20 or so teams that don't have a page.

Congrats to Dallas Braden of the Oakland A's on pitching a perfect game (19th ever in MLB). I never heard of him though.
almost 8 years later, another no hitter from the A's

Same. I see a stat like this and wonder, who are the lucky fans that caught 15 or 16 foul balls?  How much did that cost in baseballs used? Who had the previous record? Who had it before that? What was the outcome of the at-bat? Did it make a big difference in the game? Etc, etc.  So many things my mind wanders to. Like you said, the new generation couldn't care less.

Rob Manfred sees a stat like this and says "After the 10th pitch, let's both put the batter on 2nd and give the defensive team an out to shorten the game."

As a Braves fan, it's great to see! He's probably the most hyped prospect since Andruw Jones came up as a 19 year old. After the last few seasons, I'm just glad they're competitive again.

brandon belt has always been under appreciated, but might be our current offensive force.

These whiny jerkoffs and their "unwritten rules" are getting so ridiculous.  I guess having fun in baseball isn't allowed.  I hope Anderson keeps doing exactly what he has been doing.  Fuck Perez...and Verlander too.

Verlander is one hell of a pitcher but he has always kind of struck me as a bit arrogant.
I’m a bit in the middle on the whole “fun police” thing. I would like to see some more animation in baseball, but at the same time I don’t want it to become football or basketball where a bunch of rich prima donnas making it a competition to see who can celebrate the best and then you have everyone celebrating every routine play like they just won the World Series. Basically, I would like to see more animation, but let’s not get carried away with it at the same time.
That said, I don’t see anything wrong with Anderson’s intensity on that HR.

    • A player get upset that an opposing player did not cooperatively hit into the shift with which he was presented.
    • A player get upset than an opposing player stole bases even though the base-stealer's team was behind at the time.
    • Good Lord, just think about those for a second.
    Taken from the article.

For the record I liked the bat flip but hate the home plate celebrations...
