    It was a Grayson Allen type dick move, particularly given their starting second baseman had his season ended prematurely last year and is still out due to a similar slide, hence the sensitivity. You even admit you wouldn’t be happy if it was your player and I’m sure you’d expect your pitcher to retaliate. Man up.

    The guy went in hard to 2nd base and his cleat was SLIGHTLY up.  Come on now.  This is the game where players would slide 5 feet off the bag to pretty much tackle a guy.  You never want to see someone get hurt so of course I wouldn't be thrilled, but come on now. It's baseball.

    Methinks this isn't the last we've seen of this either.

    I look forward to the rubber match but it is nice to see a Yankee player not be able to break his bat AND charge the mound, as opposed to AFraud sashaying on up to first after getting plunked. Yankees/Sox rivalry is good for baseball.

    The slide was wayyyyyy late.  That is what anyone should have an issue with.  His leg was barely raised which wasn't a big deal, it was definitely the late slide into the bag to obviously take out the thrower.

    The other issue I have is Kelly missing the bean ball at Austin for his first pitch.  You throw at him and hit him the first pitch, NOT the second...
