    Vegas off the hook in possible Seattle draft

    The GMs were informed that any potential future Seattle expansion draft will be conducted under the same conditions as Vegas, and there’s an interesting caveat: The Golden Knights aren’t likely to be part of the Seattle process at all, according to a source.

    There’s no reason to expect them to be put in position to lose a player because they’re not going to be sharing in the $650-million fee the Oak View Group will be asked to pay if/when the NHL accepts its expansion application. That was part of the deal the league struck with Golden Knights owner Bill Foley when he was granted the 31st franchise.

    So happy about this. If my Habs aren't in this is the next best thing. I remember how happy I was when the Jets came home to Winnipeg.

    I thought of that Cable Guy scene.

    I made text jokes with some Kings fan buddies from SoCal about Blue Man Group silliness....and sure enough, they had the Blue Man Group there.

    It did fire the crowd up.  For the first ten minutes or so they were bonkers out of control.

    Only game 1.  Same as a 1-0 loss for my Kings.

    See if the team has any grit come Friday.  Opening against the 2 time defending champs is a tall order.  

    I read that he wants to come back with Elliott in Game 2.

    I was pulling for your Kings.  Hopefully they can get the W in game two.

    As for the other games.  The Jets v Wild game was entertaining especially late in the game and the Flyers just laid down and died in that game.  I'm by no means a Crosby fan but how about that goal?  Just ridiculous!

    Was just looking at the Blue Jackets roster in preparation for tonight's game and found my new favorite player...David Savard, DOB 10/22/1990! Hopefully the inevitable Caps playoff choke is in the first round this year. Let's go Jackets!

    Such total bullshit.  NHL suspension of Doughty for that hit is weak, especially given the mutliple heap shots he took during the game.  (Including a dirty ass slash across his boot in the first that, on replay, is about as bullshit cheap attempt to injure as anything you will see these days)

    Kadri on the other hand, the first hit from behind should have got him the gate (behind net)... second hit the game.  But the leafs were done at that point anyways.  Wingels elbow should have drawn a penalty as well.
