oh that sucks. I wish they would get back together, loved them. Glad Dimitris is still playing in OFF! but would love a new Burning Brides album. They were originally from the philly area so I saw them a lot of times (like 7 or so).lolobugg said:eeriepadave said:

I loved that band. only got to see them twice. once at Lollapalooza and then opening for A Perfect Circle.both times they stole the show. The Philly scene has been crazy for 15 years now. I bet you have seen some awesome bands at small clubs. livefootsteps.org/user/?usr=446 1995- New Orleans, LA : New Orleans, LA 1996- Charleston, SC 1998- Atlanta, GA: Birmingham, AL: Greenville, SC: Knoxville, TN 2000- Atlanta, GA: New Orleans, LA: Memphis, TN: Nashville, TN 2003- Raleigh, NC: Charlotte, NC: Atlanta, GA 2004- Asheville, NC (hometown show) 2006- Cincinnati, OH 2008- Columbia, SC 2009- Chicago, IL x 2 / Ed Vedder- Atlanta, GA x 2 2010- Bristow, VA 2011- Alpine Valley, WI (PJ20) x 2 / Ed Vedder- Chicago, IL 2012- Atlanta, GA 2013- Charlotte, NC 2014- Cincinnati, OH 2015- New York, NY 2016- Greenville, SC: Hampton, VA:: Columbia, SC: Raleigh, NC : Lexington, KY: Philly, PA 2: (Wrigley) Chicago, IL x 2 (holy shit): Temple of the Dog- Philly, PA 2017- ED VED- Louisville, KY 2018- Chicago, IL x2, Boston, MA x2 2020- Nashville, TN 2022- Smashville 2023- Austin, TX x2 2024- Baltimore 0

Strangest Triple Bill I ever saw....... Without PJ:
 Glen Hansard
 Richard Thompson
 Paul Weller
I saw Richard Thompson open for Glen Hansard in Brooklyn a few years ago. Glen's great live, but I think even he would acknowledge that Richard Thompson should have been the main act.
With PJ: Given the Ohana Fest discussion on The Porch, I'd say Arcade Fire playing 90 minutes or so as an opener for a nice, 3+ hour PJ set sounds just about perfect. To make it a three-act line-up, maybe open with Bryan Ferry -- and Jeff and Mike could come out and play with his band.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0

My morning jacket opena with a full set, break, Metallica takes the stage for their regular we play it all the time set, PJ closes.....with several collabs.....triple drum finale. I would love a Mike and Kirk guitar duel Alla Crossroads. Finish it off with Am I Evil, into one big holiday, into 3 band KORITFW collab0

Some people dont like him, thats ok. I would surely think there is at least one song you like of his, no? His catoloug is extensive. How about anything from some of his side projects you find appealing?Thirty Bills Unpaid said:

I should have clarified! As a performer he's terrible. I wouldn't disrespect his ability to write or his impact on music."My brain's a good brain!"0

Yeah i hear that alot from people. I had a guy a few months ago tell me he actually walked out of a Dylan concert. SAD! Lol. I actually have to admit ive only seen him once, last year, and i loved it. Still doing his thing after all these years. What in paticular about his performing dont you like? I also havent seen alot of videos from older performances, like when he was in his prime. Im not a musician so i dont notice certain technical things that someone who is might. Is there something in paticular in his performances like his voice, technical skill, you dont like?Thirty Bills Unpaid said:Hi! said:

I walked out on Bob too lol.
He made no connection to the crowd- never even looked at us. He was lifeless. The selection was awful (never even recognized the first five or six songs and that's about when I had enough).
I should state that out of approximately 120 live shows... his was the only one I left during the main set. I don't make a habit of leaving shows (outside of occasionally getting in front of the mob before the encore is finished)."My brain's a good brain!"0

Lol, sorry to hear that. Well, at the very least our correspondance here today has inspired me to inquire further into Bob Dylans live material. Im sure i wont be disappointed. Peace and have a nice day.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:I walked out on Bob too lol.
