Not worse for sure, maybe better.

All solid points, I never looked at it that way. I think you are definitely on to something. The only "tactical" thing I own is a flashlight; you shine that in someones eyes and they are blind!Halifax2TheMax said:

I just got back from a couple of weeks in the U.S yesterday and I can honestly say, it was on my mind the entire time that I was there, someone could walk into this place and open fire. I'm so relieved that I live in a country where there's not a very high level of gun violence or ownership.Dublin 2006

I feel that the psychological concept of 'relative deprivation' has something to do with the senseless slaughters in the USA.
It's a by-product of the capitalistic society coupled with the consumer driven mentality. When some guy finally figures out that he's been left out in the rain- no friends, no great future, no girls, no sweet materialistic objects that tend to define someone- they lash out and express their frustration/rage.
It's not the simple answer to the complex problem that plagues the States, but it is part of the answer. The USA (in my mind) is beginning to resemble the perfect storm: among many things... a growing divide, disenfranchised people, a massive wealth disparity, and very accessible weapons.
 Eesh.

Good for those children exercising their 1A rights. I don't agree with them, but they are exercising their rights peacefully without ill intent or fearmongering toward their peers.

Isn't this when someone from the 2nd amendment side points out the irony of the girl wearing the Selena shirt during the protest and some smear campaign is started at infolies and the gateway pungent? I remember the recent smearing of the other side for their shirt selection. Selective concern once again.dankind said:

Has anyone on here ever argued that negligence by parents that results in a kid getting their hands on a gun not be met with prosecution?
I haven't seen that. Those parents, or parent if single, should absolutely face charges.

That was a big topic for a concealed weapons class in Florida in that you MUST keep your firearm(s) secured or result in prosecution.dudeman said:Has anyone on here ever argued that negligence by parents that results in a kid getting their hands on a gun not be met with prosecution?
I haven't seen that. Those parents, or parent if single, should absolutely face charges.
I agree with that you never see charges brought forth on this if it does happen.0
