I don;t remember any other singles getting this much attention and release, only one I ever remember getting played on the radio was Last Kiss, and thats because those stations were fan club members and spun the vinyl, it wasn't released to the public like this one was.
    If I had kept reading I would have gotten my answer.....

    Have to be honest, didn't think this one would grow on me but it has.  Not crazy about the chorus, wish they did a little something more in kind of the breakdown section, but that first verse is pretty stellar, decent little riff Mike came up with.  Not too shabby, and a little different imo.  Always excited that these guys are creating and still around.

    I can't believe this is really going to be on the new album. It sounds like something they could have written in a half hour. I'm just bummed they can't seem to reach down deep and at least try to approach the level of creativity they once had. But hey that's just my opinion. I'll still buy the new album and enjoy the shows but my level of excitement on new material is at an all time low.

    Most the old stuff was written really quickly. It's not about time spent on it. It's about whether it' good or not

    Aside from one song on each album, everything on Backspacer and Lightning Bolt is more poppy than this.

    Pre-election, something from PJ about him would have gained a lot more attention, even if it wasn't particularly good or original!

    So was our 2017 single really just a download of the first single a day early, and that counts as our 2017? Seems like we got the short end if that is the case, and they are desperate to not fall a whole year behind again.

    maybe the annual single version is the "rough mix" that some are suggesting it is.

    Per the email it was an exclusive early download, titled 2017 Single

    That tells me that it will probably be pressed to vinyl as the 2017 annual single.
