MusiCares 'Concert For Recovery' to Honor Mike McCready

We're excited to share this morning's announcement that Mike will be honored at the 2018 MusiCares Concert For Recovery at The Showbox in Seattle on May 10, 2018.

Mike will receive the 'Stevie Ray Vaughan Award' in recognition of his significant dedication to and support of MusiCares and his commitment to helping others in the addiction recovery process. 

The benefit concert will support MusiCares' addiction recovery programs with performances by Barrett Martin, Slash, Chad Smith; and artists Duff McKagan, Mike Ness, and Heart's Nancy Wilson. The evening will close with a special performance by McCready and friends.

TICKETS range from $250 for Highboy Individual Cabaret seating to $5,000 for Platinum Prime Cabaret floor seating for four. All tickets include a buffet. A one-of-a-kind Nixon Chris Cornell Sentry timepiece will also be auctioned off live.

    So what is the criteria for this award? I thought that it was recognition for being a leader in terms of recovery from addiction but now I'm confused.
