America's Gun Violence

You've obviously never driven in Vancouver, har har har. I'm practically terrified on those roads - it's like half the drivers are blindfolded, lol. I definitely wear a seat belt because I'm scared of being in an accident (cars are fucking dangerous). I also have home insurance because I'm specifically scared of my apartment building burning down - I don't trust other tenants to not start a fire, lol. I have no fears, though, nor any urge to be prepared for something, that would make me feel like a gun is somehow going make me more prepared or safer. Your comparisons don't ring true for me in any way whatsoever.PJPOWER said:
I’m not equating them, but was only making the point that there is a difference between “fearful” and “prepared”. In fact, one of the main points of discussion in my CCW class was to not carry out of fear, but out of preparedness.my2hands said:The point is... before we go down a worm hole... is you're equating a ferarm with a fucking seatbelt... and that's ridiculous

Pretty weird if you ask me... my guess is the town would be just as safe, if not safer, with the exact opposite lawmcgruff10 said:interesting video, a town in georgia requires by law (although it is not enforced) that every citizen owns a firearm. it is one of georgia's safest cities:
https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2018/03/07/kennesaw-gun-law-orig.cnn
And if guns equal safety, then why isn't it the safest town in Georgia, as opposed to just one of the safest? I would think it would be the safest place in the world?0 -
On the other side of it, if guns equal less safety, then it should be the least safe place in the world...not “one of the safest”.my2hands said:

The Kennesaw law was symbolic and its crime rate went down right along with the rest of the state.

Yes, CNN is running the fact that the town exists, the law exists, it isn’t enforced, and there’s no evidence that it contributes to the crime rate. Seems a reasonable way to cover it.unsung said:

Cities, States and countries with higher gun ownership have higher gun violence and deaths. You throw that scientific evidence out the window.
You find some podunk city that requires gun ownership and manages not to self-immolate and omg everyone needs guns!!!
Work on your critical thinking skills, your education is failing you.0 -

There were 800 warrants issued for this action. The Mayor was more concerned with protecting illegal alien criminals over the honest and hard working citizens of the community. That is over 500 outstanding warrants. If she isn't willing to protect her community then don't complain when people are forced to protect themselves.
