It appears as if my ticket buddy and I screwed up by not booking a hotel immediately. There is nothing available at all! I trust that there will be cancellations so I guess we have to check in every week or so. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for us? We don't want to have to drive from the country even though it looks beautiful.

Did you try Airbnb and vrbo?

Been there done that. The only thing I can find is a little cabin in Lolo which is 27.2 miles away. We even just tried the Spruce Hostel and the KOA. I'm amazed that things booked up this quickly. I guess we will check in on a regular basis for cancellations.F Me In The Brain said:Did you try Airbnb and vrbo?

We are surely not the only ones that are in this predicament.

That sucks.
Next time you can book ahead on expedia with free cancellation when they announce...or before when the rumors get strong. No risks! The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
That's what I always do, but this all happened the week before we were supposed to be leaving on our big "bucket list" vacation to Saba in the Caribbean so too much going on. Not only that we both got sick and too sick to travel so missed our "big vacation. It's just been a sucky couple of weeks. Anyway, I booked us a room for the 12th and then will keep working on the 13th.F Me In The Brain said:That sucks.

Sorry to hear you missed out. I'm sure if you look on Expedia that they will start spamming you with offers as rooms open. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

Have you tried the KOA? They have some cabins (plus several hook up sites for trailers and, if you want to brave the cold, tent sites.
We stayed there for the 2012 show and it was cool. I always laugh when I think about it because when my wife and I arrived and talked to the camp host they were very concerned because the said they had heard the Pearl Jam fans were planning "a rave" at their campground. Knowing that was just a rumor started by some people on these boards, I stifled a laugh and assured them that this was not going to happen. I told them that it was just some goofballs joking on the internet. There were a few rowdy types who were asked to settle down, but for the most part it was just a good, mellow PJ crowd and I met several very cool folks there. That show and the people I met are such great memories. A great time in my life!
Oh, and don't expect wilderness "camping". The KOA is near the railroad tracks, a freeway, the airport, a small industrial center, a shopping center and a housing development and it's fairly close to town. But its cool never the less.

I did check. Cabins looked cool but already booked. I was ready to book a "Forest Service type cabin" with an out house in the boonies but ticket buddy said no.
I am not going to stress about it. Something will open up. Hopefully at the lodge that we booked for the 12th. Thanks for comments and support guys. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0 -

There is a little cabin that keeps popping up everytime I do a hotel or home search. I told ticket buddy last night it was stalking us.tempo_n_groove said:

Last night I booked a room at the Stone Creek Lodge for August 12 for around $200.00. My ticket buddy called the lodge directly this morning and they extended it to the 13th! Yippee! But it was up to $289.00 per night. But it looks like a nice place. If interested you may want to check it out and get a reservation.tempo_n_groove said:

I'm not paying $289 a night. It's Missoula, not NYC...
That is just crazy expensive.0 -
Very limited quantity it seems.tempo_n_groove said:
