also, apologies if this was asked earlier, i don't feel like looking through this entire thread lol... did anyone happen to see the final odds for fenway? thanks!
night 2 was still at 99% when it closed.
i think night 1 was around 78%
Night 1 was at 76% half hour before close of lottery, I had to go to an appointment so didn't see if it dropped further before the close.
still a lot better odds than 2016. fingers crossed. thanks!
Just received email - my results: 1) Wrigley 1 - GA - LOST 2) Wrigley 2 - GA - LOST 3)Wrigley 1 - Res - WON 4)Wrigley 2 - Res - WON 5)Boston 2 - Res - WON
So, it seems pretty much everyone who put in for reserved Seattle got in. That means that my 600--- membership number is going to be pretty brutal right?

Why does everyone think that it matters when you entered the lottery as to when you will get results? It's a lottery so when/if your name is chosen, doesn't that determine when you get an email? Otherwise the people that entered at the very beginning would be finding out 1st and that is not a random lottery...

Depends on your definition of pretty brutal. There are going to be tons of people in worse seats than you.

That’s the way it has been in the past and seems to be today. Notification time doesn’t have anything to do with results. The drawing is done.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

The selections are already made. The computer that did the drawing knows who won or lost. The process of doing all of the charges and notifications are where the time of entry has a bearing.

No, because the email contains the results to all of your choices, wins and losses (it's not one email per win). So I imagine they figured out the results of the lottery entirely, and then started sending emails. Depending on the system they use, sending tens of thousands of emails can actually take quite a long time, so people are speculating that the order they are sending them is the order you entered your choices. It's as reasonable a guess as any other.

Thanks. Now I just need to gamble on whether or not Ticketmaster has better seats I guess.

But it seems to be wrong, as several people who ordered immediately haven't heard. I think it's just completely random
