It was a prepaid Nokia and about half the kids in school had one at that point, but literally nobody used them at all. They were just for emergencies.
I have had "unlimited" since I first purchased an Iphone 1 10 years ago and never had a problem so I ask if this is a thing now a days? Instead of running out of minutes people are running out of data now?
Crazy.
Even unlimited data only gives you a certain amount at 4G speeds, after that streaming becomes impossible and other tasks get tedious.
I've been told by people in the apple store to never change my plan.0 -

In 2000 when I was 24. Got a prepaid one to use as my phone when I went to college. That lasted a year before i said fuck this and went back to a land line. Used one for work from 2003, never gave up the flip phone they gave me until I left back in the spring. Didn't get another personal one until 2012.Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

I finally decided to get one in 2000 at the ripe age of 25, lol.
This will be interesting to see.
Thanks

I've had 2 for a total of about a week. I was 38?
The first I dropped in the cats water dish.
The second I threw out in the yard one night. (I think my wife retrieved it, but I never saw it again)
I've never looked back, and I'm happier than you folk.
Pearl Jam wants me to get one to get into their shows this year.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.0 -
I have had the same phone number since my first phone.
I have also kept every single phone I have had.
Will post a photo later.

My first phone was a Verizon flip phone. I only spent the $200 for it and decided not to spend the $400 on the hotrod Motorola "metal" flip phone...0 -

I don't recall when I first got a cell phone but I remember when I got my first smart phone. 2013, I-phone via AT&T. What a colossal F up that was. signed a two year deal, "supposedly " paid $.99 cents for the phone but monthly bill was $142.00 for two years. Did not include unlimited data, I don't think it included unlimited anything. The day my contract was up, tried to transfer plan. AT&T wouldn't unlock my phone to allow transfer, said I owed early cancellation fee and said I had to delete storage on my phone in order to do so, after paying fee. I was just trying not to lose service by doing it the day contract ended. They would not budge. I went out, bought an Android phone at Target, changed providers and got smart and use it as a phone and not a computer. I pay less than $28 a month now. Use my I-phone for music and stored voice mail messages. I hate AT&T.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0

I didn't get my first smart phone until years after everyone else was using them.
I don't understand why people pay so much per month for their phone plans just so they can have the latest device.
It's ridiculous. Some pay $100 per month. For me $30-$40 per month is the limit.

Here are all the phones I have ever owned.
Does not include my current phone, a Samsung Galaxy S5 as I used it to take this photo.

I've had over a dozen phones, but that's only because I have to carry one for work and we get new ones every 2 years. It's a hopeless situation...0 -
