    It is what it is, but I'm pretty sure I payed around $80 Canadian to see them in Calgary 2013. Now I'm looking at over $150 Canadian to see them in 2018. That's almost double.
    Yeah, it's brutal. Considering what band we're talking about, I'm pretty disappointed. I'm pretty sure I'm not even going. I can't afford that shit when I'm forced to buy a pair. Spending over $600 up front on concert tix? Um, yeah, I have trouble justifying that to myself.

    Not long ago I argued that current ticket prices are commensurate with prices in the past relative to inflation.  Today, that argument holds little water for many of these shows.  Why, even the tickets to see the upcoming Temple Grandin speaking engagement  in Sacramento are $75.  I'd love to see her but, dang, $75 for a single-person talking event?  Not likely!
