I just came across a CD copy of Rancid's "... and Out Come the Wolves".  I don't know why I bought it.  I knew little or nothing of the band other than believing there was no way I could dig a band named "Rancid".

WRONG!  I popped that sucker into the CD player and was VERY into it by the second or third song.  Great stuff, full of energy and rockin' hard.  A keeper!  To bad the LP is so pricey but the CD sounds very good.

Any other fans here?

I love Operation Ivy, they were sort of a precursor to Rancid.  Some good stuff (both bands)

Just found out Armstrong and Freeman are from Berkeley, CA, my place of birth.  So they gotta be good, right, lol!

My old band in high school used to cover "Ruby Soho" and I got to see them in 96' on the Lollapalooza tour.

that album was a great pop/punk record. it reminds me on the mid 90s.

Let's Go, And Out Come the Wolves are great albums.  The latter with the Maxwell Murder beginning...... Brilliant.  Let's Go was the anthem CD for me and my Junior high buddies.  I throw those on about once a year and feel young again.

Listen to the Tim Armstrong solo album first.  If you enjoy that one with the Agrolites playing with them we can go from there.

    It's called "A Poets Life"
