Enjoy it, boys....unless you're a Pats fan, seeing your team in the Super Bowl is a rare occurrence.  I remember thinking the Bears would be back real soon after they lost to the Colts in 07...and obviously I was way off.  Even though I think the Pats will win, I'll be pulling for you fuckers...
Good point! With Rodgers at the helm I was sure that the Pack would have been back to the Super Bowl at least once or twice after 2010. Cherish the moment!

If I had a betting slip from today's bets and I removed the amounts, this is how it would read.

    Birds +4.5
    Birds 1st Half     +3
    Birds 1st 1/4     +1/2
    Birds win both halves   +600
    U48  even

Most placed on the last one, least placed on the 2nd to last.

I need to hit some squares as well.  Never been in so many of these fucking things, seems like everyone and their brother started one.

I like to picture Jesus in a Tuxedo T-shirt, ’cause it says, like, ‘I wanna be formal, but I’m here to party, too.’ I like to party, so I like my Jesus to party…. I like to think of Jesus like, with giant eagles’ wings and singin’ lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an Angel Band, and I’m in the front row, and I’m hammered drunk…

Well, seeing how Folds wants to become a pastor after hanging up his cleats, I can see it. If I believed in Folds.

Enough of these hype videos already. Let's get this game started.

And, by the way--this is probably an unpopular position, but the Eagles' videos were better before they got this fake Philly tough guy accent narrator guy a couple years ago

I think the Eagles can win this game and win it by 10 points assuming:

Foles doesn't turn the ball over...doesn't have to be "27-2 Foles" (but if he is, whoa boy...) but just needs to make his reads and get the ball out of his hands quickly like in the last 6 quarters. RPO the hell out of them. Play up tempo. Steady does of Ajayi please. Theyshould be able to run and move the ball on this team. Teams have done that all year against the Pats. I think they they are the worst defense the Eagles will see all post season---but they must not settle for field goals all game. Pats are a bend but don't break defense and only allow slightly more points than we do. So we cannot have drives stalling around mid field. Also think Agholar can be the key. Use him in some running plays like they did in the playoffs. Toss in an end around at some point. Apparently our boy Eric Rowe has been struggling lately in the slot. I feel like Nelson's due to have himself a game...

Field position is huge. I saw some stat that said the Pats had one of the best starting positions and their opponents were one of the worst in the league. Can't have most of our drives starting inside our 20....if that's the trend early, we're in trouble.

Defense, obviously, needs to get to Brady without blitzing. Especially up the middle. That's where he has the most trouble with. Can't stop Gronk so Jenkins and Graham have to find a way to contain him. I'm not too concerned that they will be able to run the ball on us, but they will try to get the ball out super quick especially to their rb's and this is an area the Eagles have struggled in this year. Gotta be able to get pressure so he's forced to rush those passes and make some mistakes....

I think the Eagles are better on both lines of scrimmage.

If this is a close game, given that this is the Patriots....I'm not super confident. However, if the Eagles can do the things I mentioned, perhaps they get out to an early lead and I have a lot more confidence in the way Pederson calls games than Kyle Shannahan and Nate Hackett, for that matter. So I don't expect them to forget about running the ball, but I also don't expect them to just sit on it and be ultra conservative. There's a middle ground.

SO.....I think this is probably the worst Pats super bowl team. I think the Eagles are a more complete team. But that stat about the Pats never losing to a playoff team they didn't face before is pretty scary. GET OUT TO AN EARLY LEAD! PLEASE!
