Wrigley GA question?

Kind of odd question, but I am taking my son to his first PJ show at Wrigley this summer, could anyone guess how high the rail is in the front row? He is 5 ft tall and 12 years old. I want to make sure he is not staring at a metal bar all night!

Seeing over the rail he would be fine. Waiting in line for the rail on the other hand...0

I'm only an inch taller and regularly attend GA shows and the barrier is usually between waist and chest height. Do venues in the US have age restrictions to be in GA? I know at most non-festival type venues here in the UK your son would be too young to be in GA. It's usually either 14 or 16 (accompanied by an adult) to be allowed on the floor.Post edited by chime onSo are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?0

People will be there 3-4 days ahead of time. If both of you have the dedication to sit in the sun for that amount of time..good on ya!
and he'll be able to see if you are on the rail.1998: Barrie 2000: Toronto 2005: Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Toronto 2006: Toronto 1&2, Paris, Milan, Torino, Pistoia 2009: Calgary, Vancouver 2011: Canada 2013: London, Wrigley, Philly 1&2 2014: St. Louis, ACL 1, Detroit 2016: Lexington, Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto 1&2, Fenway 1&2, Wrigley 1&2 2017: EV - Louisville 2018: London 1&2, Milan, Padova, Rome, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 1&2, Fenway 1&2 2020: Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton 2021: London 1&2 2022: Hamilton, Toronto 2023: Chicago 1&2, Noblesville 2024: Seattle 1&2, Noblesville, Wrigley 1&20 -
He'll have no problem seeing over the rail, but God bless you if you make it that far. Pit at Wrigley is enormous and jammed all the way to the back at the center. He lightens up as you move to the sides but then you will find yourself looking at the screen as often as the stage. I hate stadium shows... sigh...0

May the Force be with you.
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.0 -
is there anyone that was at either Lolla 2007 or Bonnaroo 2008 that can tell me how the Wrigley pit 2016 compared to those shows? They are my only PJ GA experiences and don't want to seriously underestimate how cramped it is at Wrigley
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

I was at Lolla 2007 and GA pit at Wrigley is a lot bigger, wider, as near as I can tell as all of Lolla is GA. The people were denser at Wrigley.
