    Up here it's a sort of "fairweather fan" song. More for the people at Fenway for the scene than the baseball game. Plus, Neil got to sing it there himself!
    That was my read on it... popular with the pink hat crowd but not the diehard Sox fans.

    Ohhhhh boy. I saw that article about Neil Diamond calling it quits after 50 years of doing shows, wish him the best.

    It's become a Fenway Park tradition. The shows are at Fenway Park. I have no problem with it if Pearl Jam were inclined to give a nod to Neil Diamond.

    Meh. I was always a pretty rabid Neil Diamond hater. And for a long time, I would just leave my seat in the middle of the eighth so that I didn't have to witness this atrocity. But when I started bringing my daughter to games, she absolutely loves "Sweet Caroline." So it doesn't bother me so much anymore. Now I just think of the smile that it puts on her face, and that's so good, so good, so good..

    Really hater man I don’t hate any artist well probably two , Nugent & Kid Rock but Neil Diamond no way I grew up listening to him with my mother so for me is all great memories of being in the kitchen with her ..
