Fenway Sweet Caroline

Ok i never request any songs to be played at shows that i'm hoping to get tickets too , so what you guys think about this request ..
Ed how about doing a rendition of the Neil Diamond classic Sweet Caroline at these shows dedicate it to the man himself i believe it would be very fitting at this ball park ..
Neil has just announced he's retiring because of health issues stemmimg from Parkinsons disease ...
So how about we all get behind this and let's make it happen for Neil , thanks for reading and supporting this request ...

ND has 50 songs better than Sweet Caroline.
Accoustic Holly Holy to open up one of the encores would be better.

Yeah not sure how it would come off as just a cover or like you said a tag , to the naysayers in 95 in Milwaukee they covered Neil’s For ever in Blue jeans the band def knows & likes Neil ...

I still think “Road Runner,” “Dirty Water,” “That’s When I Reach for My Revolver,” or even “Bye Bye Love” would be some awesome Boston band songs for Pearl Jam to cover.

I don’t think they could do justice to “This Monkey’s Gone to Heaven.”

I have to ask why no ?
Up here it's a sort of "fairweather fan" song. More for the people at Fenway for the scene than the baseball game. Plus, Neil got to sing it there himself!

That was my read on it... popular with the pink hat crowd but not the diehard Sox fans.
