Right. I personally don't mind this, but I gather that is really bothers some people.

Seems like a lot more seats will be reserved for us than in the past, and going with mobile ticketing/Verified Fan is very interesting (despite no stub keepsakes).

Thanks for experimenting with these options. I'm sure I'll still be looking for a ticket to one of the shows but I'll get by. Only downside is waiting a few weeks to see how we fare in the lottery.

Definitely don't agree with the cut-off.

Are you serious? If you are... no, it doesn't look like it. What about the Luddites who still have flip phones?

Interesting that they said they should be able to accommodate "most if not all" in the drawing. I guess we'll see when the Drawing Odds start taking shape.

Ugh honestly dont care about using mobile tickets, but would love the option to get a physical ticket after the show somehow. I have a collection to keep up!!
I’m sure they will sell collectible ticket stubs that will be a nightmare to get. Actually I’d bet on it.

I saw Dispatch at Forest Hills and got in with Smartphone. When they scan I recieved "receipt" similiar to ticket stub that had band, venue and date on it.

I think they allowed this because they are confident they are going to meet the fan club demand.

  • To clarify: there is a fanclub pre-sale starting on 2/7 but it's really lottery where we enter and then the drawing happens.  Separate from that with that there is this new ticketmaster fan thing that we can register now for but so can anyone else (not exclusive to fanclub) - you can register for that now.  And that allows you to access a different pre-sale where you'll go in an attempt to get tickets.  Correct?

No, there is a  TM verified fan sale plus a regular TM general sale later.

Some venues print out a little stub with your seat location when they scan your phone at the door (at least the United Center does), but there are others that dont and its all electronic and you show the usher your phone.  But with GA and wristbands that's another electronic element they have to deal with, instead of the old markered up/whole punched ticket, so not sure...

I like that people can't possibly sell both their tickets on the day of the show now. That's cut down on last minute scalping a lot.

Any idea if more dates will be announced or are these all the 'Away' shows that will be added this summer/fall tour?  I was hoping the rumors of a few dates in Philly would be correct???
