    This isn't a mass shooting, but it happened in my hometown yesterday. Young girl killed by her ex-boyfriend at her place of employment. Such a tragedy.

    "Some of the shootings at schools this year were suicides that injured no one else; some did not result in any injuries at all."

    I'm not trying to minimize it at all if there were suicides or other incidents. I was just asking if anyone had info on the other shootings, since the news story I heard reported this one as the first. And I am curious about details of a school shooting that resulted in no injuries.

    So that makes it less of a problem, I guess? One not worth trying to solve. Just another day in 'merica. Maybe we need a searchable database of school shooting incidents categorized by location, date, perp, type of weapon, number of deaths/injuries? Would that make it more of a concern for you?

    "Some of the shootings at schools this year were suicides that injured no one else; some did not result in any injuries at all."

    So that makes it less of a problem, I guess? One not worth trying to solve. Just another day in 'merica. Maybe we need a searchable database of school shooting incidents categorized by location, date, perp, type of weapon, number of deaths/injuries? Would that make it more of a concern for you?
    I'm really glad you equate me asking for more details because I am truly interested in the topic to me saying it isn't a problem at all.
    Thank you for reminding me why having this discussion with certain people is completely pointless.

    Because mace consistently dismisses gun violence with a questioning the legitimacy of the harm done. I googled it and there’s a wealth of information from a spectrum of news sources. His/her immediate response is to diminish the “fact” and make it sound like “no big deal.” Or because his dad was a cop, where he/she’s lived not their personal experience so what’s the issue type approach (my words and paraphrasing having read most of his posts). Do most of us post BS that has to be questioned on your first reply? There’s been 11 shootings at schools and the year is not even a month old. Hey, but they were mostly suicides, “accidental” or no harm/no foul. Responsible gun owners all of them as well, I’m sure.

    I feel like this topic has been discussed into oblivion at this point.  This thread is merely a safe place for people to blow off steam now it seems.  I have backed off replying to some of the regulars here due to their inability to carry on a discussion without belittling or other disrespectful comments.
