Why would Philly be any different, crowd and setlist wise, than Wrigley or Fenway? Because of the new-ness?Weston1283 said:If Philly happens, they will be the two must hit shows of the stadiums, cost wise, accessibility wise, and likely setlist and crowd wise

I stayed there in 2013. It's close but such a hole. And I made it worst by fixing my radiator under their awning while it was raining. While cranking PJ.0

I’m convinced Philly is the bands favorite place to play. I’ll never miss a Philly show again.CantKeepmedown said:

Just a thought (sorry if this has been discussed already): Eddie has done Ohana Fest in Southern California the last two years. Seems to be his baby, and I'm not sure it could survive at this point without him. Ohana Fest website says "See you in 2018", so it's obvious the plans are for it to continue this year. How might this affect any potential SoCal shows, or PJ shows elsewhere for that matter?
For what it's worth, last year Ohana Fest was September 8-10, and if we're talking stadiums, the Dodgers are on a long road trip from September 7-16...Everything has chains...Absolutely nothing's changed. - PJ

Not too many cities can make a better case. I'd still personally take Boston but that's one part personal taste and several parts homerism.Weston1283 said:

im thinking Ohana will be Sept 8 this year. That's what we are planning on at this point. And true, it's Ed's gig, so I would believe he will be there. So ya, maybe a Dodgers stadium show mixed in?walkunafraid said:Just a thought (sorry if this has been discussed already): Eddie has done Ohana Fest in Southern California the last two years. If these rumours are true maybe the week in between Wrigley and Fenway would be Ohana's date. It was in August in 2016 as you probably know.DEGBTI said:

I wonder if there would be any thought about doing a full-band performance there this year. I mean, it's Ed's gig, and if the band is in tour mode anyway, it would make a lot of sense. Plus, it would bring a LOT of recognition to a festival that has brought in pretty big names but hasn't quite found its niche yet (as far as I know, it hasn't sold out either of its first two years). The only drawback would be with an 11,000-12,000 person capacity per day, it wouldn't come anywhere near what a stadium show would draw.DEGBTI said:

This answered my question.... but I will point out that the second night of Cal Jam October 6-7 needs a headliner. Both festivals are great times.walkunafraid said:

Foo Fighters are the only headliner at Cal Jam. The Friday night this year was lower key with a couple of cover bands and Trouble Funk playing one of the side stages. The main stage was not open on Friday.kaw753 said:This answered my question.... but I will point out that the second night of Cal Jam October 6-7 needs a headliner. Both festivals are great times.0
