It was said they don't need to make money. So not free for the fans, but at a price point where they don't make money is what I gathered from those statements.PP193448 said:
Don’t think anyone ever said for them to play for free. I said half proceeds of expensive tickets could potentially go to charity. If you don’t think these guys are wealthy enough, then you’re crazy. Just having some fun here. Just dreaming and thinking it would be awesome for Ten club only shows. I realize it’s extremely unlikely to ever ever happen. Bunch of Debbie Downers here. Too pessimistic... :get_outta_here:mace1229 said:
Well they probably don;t "need" to make money.PB11041 said:Also, they very much need to make money. If Pearl Jam members did not need to earn money, they would give the entire net of their events to charities. They need to make money.
But the idea of expecting someone to work and entertain for free (or no monetary gain for themselves, and only cover expenses) is selfish and just plain dumb. It doesn't matter how rich you are, every deserves to be paid for their time.
I don't understand why, no matter how rich anyone is, why they'd be expected to take time away from their home and family and not make a lot of money doing it.
Lets assume the band thought a small venue tour was a good idea. At $500 a ticket I wouldn't see them at my local small venue or house of blues. I would have coughed that up 2 kids ago, but I can't justify that now for a 3 hour event. $1000 + babysitting if I didn't want to leave my wife at home and attend by myself.
No thanks, stick to the big shows please.0 -
Was the Seattle flag out of stock? Looks like its back0

I agree. I will never understand the idea that anyone, regardless of bank account size, should be expected to do anything for free.mace1229 said:

Small venue no more than 2000 tickets
$500 ticket price = $250 goes to band and $250 to Vitalogy Foundation
Ten Club only. Tickets will sell out. If not then open the rest up to public afterwards.
if they do it near Dayton or Cincinnati, OH, then I’ll buy the band dinner and drinks!! Seriously. Call me Ed. :hang_loose:"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

They are advertising the NUGS streaming and they say you can get a free trial... can anyone find where it says what the monthly fee is after the trial?0
-
It's about $12.50/month unless you pay the full year subscription up front. Then you basically get two months free. I just ended my year membership. I enjoyed it and got to listen to all the boots so I could decide which to buy. There's also a HD FLAC subscription for double the price.verceman said:They are advertising the NUGS streaming and they say you can get a free trial... can anyone find where it says what the monthly fee is after the trial? It's a hopeless situation...0 -

thank you. About the same as Spotify which has pretty much every song known to man except live bootlegs. Probably if it were like $4.99 a month I would be down for it.0 -
