Christmas gifts (music related) ?

On my way to pick up Neil Youngs Harvest Moon on vinyl as a Christmas gift to my dad. He has the CD and I remember him playing it a lot when I was a kid. Must have been around Christmas time, because I and my siblings have always connected it to Christmas. Lately my dad has talked about how he's "given up on Neil", so hopefully this can light the spark again.

So what are you giving your loved ones this year, music wise?

    I have tickets for Dad and I to see ELO next Summer at the O2 in London.  Out of the Blue was on permanent repeat at home in the late 70's!  Tickets weren't cheap so doing them as a combined birthday and Xmas present.  :)

    My husband and I got Foo Fighters tickets for each other. We can't wait...tour is late January.

    My husband is receiving the RSD Dimebag vinyl.  That was a surprise find!  I also purchased him the Book of Opeth.  My daughter is receiving the violin sheet music for Lindsey Stirling and her Christmas CD.  She plays violin and loves Lindsey.  :smile:

    I have three sisters and they each have kids ranging from 7-13...I got each family a children’s turntable from Third Man Records and a different vinyl that I am hoping they will like...hard to figure out what kids musical tastes are these days...

    I got my daughter meet & greet tickets for Weird Al on his next tour, along with the Squeezebox box set that was just released. According to her, he's better than Pearl Jam! So I had to get her Let's Play 2 and the complete bootlegs as well.

    I guess my family knows me well. Mother in law got me the PJ Rolling Stone Collector's Edition issue. Ashamed to say that I would have missed it otherwise and it's really well done. She also handed-me-down some of her old records sinc she doesn't have a way to play them anymore: two Elvis Christmas albums, King Creole, for Elvis fans only, Andy Williams Christmas, a couple Tony Bennetts and Jerry Lee Lewis - Greatest Live show on Earth. All the wax is in pretty great shape too. Glad to keep them in the family. 

    My folks got me Tom Petty - Damn the Torpedoes. 

    And I got myself a Fender Strat.  :D
