I just googled looking for the third support act, there are quite some websites that say that satelitte party has comfirmed.
are these just rumours or is it really comfirmed?2006: antwerp, paris, berlin
2007: nijmegene werchter
2009: rotterdam
2010: nijmegen, berlin, arras, werchter0 -
Black was beautiful indeed!! and I dont want to make this is BE vs NL, but it was the guys going absolutely nuts that annoyed me. Drunk, small, sweaty guys bumping into me who came ramming in from the back as soon as the show started, but thats also the lack of a barrier around the front area... I actually felt bad for some of the people around me who became a bit scared.daanarts wrote:this is true and so annoying! but ill hand it to the belgians, never seen a better crowd (besides barcelona) then the belgians! we dutchys suck!
the goosebump moment in antwerp (after Black) could never happen in Holland..
F* it we'll all have a great time, where ever PJ plays, let's just look out for each other and be respectful to others.your light's reflected now0 -

Hehe... I don't know about coffee shops in Nijmegen, but I'm sure you can smoke all you want in the park, I've never ever heard of anyone getting in to trouble for doing that. The legal amount is 5 grams, don't take more with you. In principal you are not allowed to smoke pot in the streets, but I don't think that law is enforced at all, especially at festivals.Ricsard wrote:Amen to that!!!

Make sure you won't get too stoned before PJ starts. The weed is much stronger here than in foreign countries...Ricsard wrote:0 -

So funny how foreigners seem obsessed with our weed...;)
Dutch do not even smoke it that much...at least I do not think so. We all had the chance to try it and bc it is legal it does not have that big attraction to most of us as it has for others. I feel it is a shame when you smoke it before the concert..you need all your sense to be as sharp as a pencil, mate!
Hmm, got a question...as a woman...what do I do when I have been sitting in line for hours and have to go to the toilet? AND what do I do if I have been standing in the front row all night, PJ starts playing and I really need to go...??
Anyone got tips ...haha...but I mean it!
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?0 -
hold it in!
That's all I did... plus, go just before you get in if you can, have someone hold the place in line for you, and then try to drink as less as possible inside! and only water.I desire peace where I live

i know what u mean, i had that concern before. When i saw U2 in Rome in their last tour, i was waiting crammed in line from 8 'o clock in the morning, didn't sit down till after midnight when i got home, and i drank buckets of water because it was end of July and it was open-air. You'll be suprised how ur own body represses ur needs. Just go once, about half an hour before u go inside the venue. I bet u won't even need it, you'll have bigger worries than wee-weeKushikushun wrote:So funny how foreigners seem obsessed with our weed...;)

Don't drink too much water unless u need it
Also, no beer. Beer equals wee-wee
Parel Jam is gonna have a problem
:p I'll ride the wave where it takes me...0 -

Yeah, I think some visitors get very carried away when in Holland and go mad on the first day of a visit there. But ye soon learn and you learn to smoke just the right amount - just bear in mind it takes a while to kick in!
Get an uppy kind of weed, not a sleepy one and you'll all be fine!0 -

I really am happy that I quit to smoke that stuff...I feel much better now.
Maybe I'm growing up

GOOD HOTEL OPTION
There aren't any cheap hotels left in the Nijmegen center. But there's a really nice, traditional Dutch hotel in the village of Elst called Linge Hotel Elst. I stayed there last year for the Arnhem show. Rooms are really nice and free breakfast is good too. Parking is free as well. You can reserve the room online. You don't have to pay until you arrive. Cost is 82.50 euros per night for a double room. Book soon if you're interested. It's not a big place.
There's a train station in Elst that's only 0.5 km away from the hotel. An intercity train leaves there for the Nijmegen main station every 15 minutes. The ride is only 13 minutes. The last train leaves Nijmegen for Elst at 00:14. Cost is 6.20 euros for a return ticket.
I was thinking of staying in this hotel, or one of the others that are just outside Nijmegen (5-10km radius). Does anyone know what the taxis are like? Particular post-show?
