Are you sure it was THEIR decision??? Kinda weird but it didn't really bother me cos I couldn't even get close to that bufet!!!
I would like to thank that tall security woman at the stage for supplying me and my friend with water after almost every song!!! She looked frightening at first but she turned out to be very very kind!!! I'm 200% sure that it was the band who asked there would be no beer sold after 60 minutes into the show.*****

No shit! Ed pulls open a bottle or two and the band decides we're better without?

Question of habit...
I don't know if it was PJ's ecision or not but I was so thirsty during teh show that I left my position in the secod nrow and went to the bar.. then I asked for a beer, and they told me "Sorry, no drink during the show...".
I lost my good position for nothing...2006: Antwerp, Paris
2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
2009: Rotterdam, London
2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm0 -

That's weird Julien, because in seating, I saw people leave and come back with beers!0 -

It's funny 'cos I was so fuckin' thirsty I could have drunk half of Schelde:) Previous night in Arnhem I wasn't thirsty at all although I stopped drinking at noon...But in Antwerpen I got at least 1,5 litre of water from that security woman during the show but I felt I was dying of thirst!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell???Budapest.Budapest.Arnhem.Antwerpen.Vienna.Madrid.Katowice.Nova_rock.Nijmegen.Rotterdam.Berlin.Dublin.Belfast.London.Venice.Prague.Stockholm.Copenhagen.Vienna.Leeds.Milton_keynes.Padova.Prague.Seattle1.Seattle2.Chicago1.Budapest.Cracow.Vienna..>>>LONDON.BERLIN1.BERLIN2

For anyone speaking Dutch, here's what we received from 'teleticketservice' one day before the concert :> SPECIALE AANDACHT

It says very much attention will be paid to security and the second last point quotes that on explicit demand of the group no 'pet flessen'='plastic bottles' of drink will be sold, not even water.
The last point states that one hour after the start of the concert of Pearl Jam no more alcoholic drinks will be sold. It's not explicitely mentioned here that the question (demand) comes from the group itself.
So, the question remains open, I guess0 -

By phone I asked my girlfriend -while she was out to pee- to get me ANYTHING to drink as I had been so fuckin' thirsty...and she returned with 0,2 litre of tasteless water which had costed 2.5 euros...WTF???Budapest.Budapest.Arnhem.Antwerpen.Vienna.Madrid.Katowice.Nova_rock.Nijmegen.Rotterdam.Berlin.Dublin.Belfast.London.Venice.Prague.Stockholm.Copenhagen.Vienna.Leeds.Milton_keynes.Padova.Prague.Seattle1.Seattle2.Chicago1.Budapest.Cracow.Vienna..>>>LONDON.BERLIN1.BERLIN2
