I've got multiple copies of OG NAIS and Light Years 7"s that I bought at the store back in 2000. I played them for the first time in years and they all sound real terrible... tons of static and cleaning didn't help. The reissues are clean and quiet. I've read about the PVC sleeves creating outgas that leaves a film on the record. Has anyone else experienced this on their OG 7"? I was thinking about storing the reissues outside of those sleeves this time.

I saw someone having a similar experience with a different record.

I've heard of that...any record I get in a sleeve like that gets immediately put in a better sleeve. Even a paper sleeve is better than the PVC.

Every 12" I have goes in these, unless it already has an anti-static sleeve

I can't speak to the quality of what sleeve city has for 7" but they do sell them

^^^I like the Sleeve City stuff. Skip the rounded versions, though.

The Mofi stuff is nice, of course, but gets expensive when replacing everything that has a cheap sleeve or that has artsy inners.

I use the Poly-lined paper sleeves for my 7". Have used Sleeve City, but I am a Bags Unlimited guy.

I had this happen with a SP record. came in a cheesy heavy plastic sleeve with no paper sleeve holding the record.

plastic stuck to the record so bad I had to throw it away. every since then all of my records get archive quality sleeves from Sleeve City.

7" Euro versions up on Amazon Canada pretty cheap. Just look for these images in your search on the singles.
Different then what was shipped from 10club. Same like the No Code & Yield reissues.

I think the best deal on the EU singles is through Amazon UK right now. You can get all 6 shipped to the US for about $50.

Yeah? The cheapest I found shipped was from a reseller, to Canada which was $94CDN ($73US).

That's good news. Guessing orders placed on Amazon will finally ship out by the December 8th release date.

Local Tax Records received their shipment on the reissues. And yet Amazon Canada haven't shipped their copies yet. :/

Can someone with the EU Pearl Jam reissue take a couple pics of the record labels. I am trying to find out if they US and EU are identical. On all the other reissues the EU reissues have had the Sony Music logo as well as EU Label Code numbers. However the US has no crediting information on labels or the back cover. So looking at them they are Identical. But the EU may be different.

    Here is the US label.

This is the EU label. Looks like it is exactly the same

No credits on the back sleeve either just this sticker on the shrink wrap

The 88 by number is on the spine of the sleeve but I'm struggling to get a good photo of it sorry.

Thanks a lot! The catalog # 88985409141 on the spine is identical on both. So i guess this is the only reissue that is exactly the same for US and EU versions.

The more I listen to these reissues. The home run out of the bunch is Riot Act. I also see myself appreciating this work more and more. Sounds really good.
