Weird, don’t know how it linked to that, lol. Let’s try again!

I'm glad you both think it's funny that criminals have yet another loophole to buy a "gun". I won't ask you if a law should be passed making it illegal to purchase these kits because we all know that would infringe on the 2nd Amendment and the NRA won't make it an issue so it's dead. Laugh away. Stay locked and loaded because there could be a ghost haunting your life someday.

It is legal to make your own, it is illegal to sell or buy them.

So there is no "loophole letting a criminal buy a gun".  Fake news again.

I wouldn't know though, never have seen a ghost gun.

I seriously doubt that any survivors become indifferent after such an event, let alone 33% of them.

When it comes to preventable deaths in the tens of thousands, trying to minimize them with a low percentage compared to the population definitely becomes problematic.... Thirty makes a good point in mentioning terrorist attack victims. The same people who reject gun reform also tend to be pretty gung ho about fighting terror, when in fact gun owners are far more dangerous than terrorists are if you're considering victim stats. It's a valid counterpoint.
gun owners are more dangers that terrorists?  that's a new one.

should I pull the typical question here and ask where are your links or data to prove that "the same people who reject gun reforms also tend to be pretty gung ho about fighting terror?"

and the terrorist attacks were a god damn act of war, our gun issue is not an act of war.  Big difference.
I mean over 10,000 people die in drunken driving accidents a year, should we ban bars? Responsible drinker until they weren't right?
Um, I think you missed my point here.

Yeah, if you're considering victim statistics, gun owners are way more dangerous than terrorists in America. I don't know if it's new or not, but it's a hard fact.

Obviously I have no links or data to prove that people against gun reform are gung ho about fighting terrorism, but I am comfortable saying that it's a very safe assumption that I've made after lots of observation and the attitudes expressed by politicians who express that sentiment and all the voters who vote for them.

Hey man, you're the one who opened the door to what I'm saying. You're the one who quoted a statistic about death and claimed it meant something to your perspective. I'm not sure why you're now trying to say that this tactic doesn't work, because, in case you missed it, that is the exact point I was trying to make when you did it.

Well it is the "America's Gun Violence" thread.
I'm not sure why you don't like the word "dangerous". Can you explain?

yes it is an "americans gun violence" thread but we do talk about other countries so the "in america" is pretty key.
I don't like the word "dangerous" because I would say over 99% of legal gun owners in the united states aren't dangerous however all terrorists are dangerous.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/shocking-moment-householder-shoots-dead-burglar-ran-wife-sending-crashing-swimming-pool-095428890.html

This is the shocking moment a man shot dead a burglar running at his wife, causing him to fall head first into a swimming pool.

CCTV footage of the incident in Pocone, in the central Brazilian state of Mato Grosso, shows the burglar fall into the garden pool after being shot by the man he was trying to rob.

Two men can be seen standing near the pool as a woman parks a bicycle against the garden wall.

The scene quickly turns chaotic as the woman turns and shouts out at her husband, who was said to be in their bedroom, after she noticed an intruder coming out of their house.

A man is then seen bursting out of the house and running up the garden – straight towards the woman who called out.

However, the burglar then collapses into the pool as he passes after it, having been shot and killed by the husband.

The man who fired the fatal shot was not seen in the clip and was not named in reports of the incident.

I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

So in review: comparing anything anti-gun related in the United States to other countries is ok. however it is not ok to show how a good guy in other countries  uses a firearm to protect his family. Got ya.

A gun was used, there was violence, and it was not in the US. Seems reasonable.

And I don't recall reading  that it wasn't okay to post it.

Has it been snowing around these parts lately? Awful lot of snowflakes around, it seems. And since you brought it up, I do believe Brazil has a lot of guns and as a result, a lot of gun related deaths.

Seems odd to arrest the shooter for homicide. There’s always more to the story
