in the coming weeks. ok. all weeks that aren't past are "coming".
I thought you wanted us to toss rainbows and sunshine in this thread.
Be happy! A response was wanted. A response was received. Thanks, 10c!
I just wanted people to step off the throats of those who asked the question.
a response was received? sort of. they also said "have your addresses up to date by August". and nothing came of that either. at this point forgive my pessimism.
As long as your pessimism is rainbow colored.
Personally, I am glad that they responded to the call for an update in the newsletter. I understand your being cautious with a show of enthusiasm. I'm glad that something was said.

...and forgive my pessimistic reaction to this month's newsletter as well, but the May newsletter stated that the single was already in production. We're now 6 MONTHS past that. By the looks of the accompanying image in this month's newsletter, it looks pretty obvious that it's going to be something from the Rock Hall performance, which if so, that'd be quite a disappointment for a few reasons. First off, that performance was in April - OF THIS YEAR - which in essence, would mean that 2016, the year of the membership for the single that is still due, was basically ignored. Besides that, we've already heard those performances, and HD video of them is readily available as well. Also, that would mean they didn't even address 2016's single until after the April 2017 performance - and you're going to tell me that between their performance on April 7th, and putting together May's newsletter, that they had already decided that they would put out something from that performance and had it into production that quickly?! I doubt anything recorded only a few weeks prior was already "in production." Nope, I think they just left it unattended to for months on end and are now giving us something that was readily available, just to get something out before the end of this year, for the previous year. I really hope I'm wrong though.

RnR hof could be the 2017 single and theyre shipping both singles together?
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
Honestly, anything they release will be well received by some and crapped on by others. People want an update and they give an update, but isn't the update some people want.
Fact of the matter is that there is something coming. I agree that we thought it was coming sooner, but I am aware of a few artists (Jeremy Enigk being one) having pressing delays. How much of the extended delay that we are experiencing is their fault? We don't know. We won't know.

Curious, why you think this? That image don't hint at anything to me..

Someone on Facebook started the rumor that it might be a 12 inch of the entire RnRHOF performance. Yes, it wouldn't be new music, but a pretty cool deal if they did that. I wouldn't be disappointed, but could see if some were.
Also, in regards to pressing delays..... You just made nice with Jack White last summer (if you weren't already friends). He's got a new state of the art pressing plant. I believe Matt Cameron's LP was pressed there. No excuse for not reaching out to third man. Also, for pressing purposes now and in the future, it's pretty lame to not use third man.... In terms of ideals with vinyl, you line up so well, it's really BS to press at a "big box" plant and not with people that take pride in the craft. Just my opinion.

Only 10c could put out an announcement where we still know absolutely no more than we did before. "receiving the package in the coming weeks" hilarious
^^ Matt Cameron's release was pressed there. It was on the board when we visited last month.
How'd you like it? I think it's a pretty cool place. I live about 15 minutes away, and try to make it down there once a month. I always hit that, then grab a beer/pizza at motor city brewing across the street. Having grown up here and been around for some rough times in Detroit, I really appreciate what Jack White has done for that area of the city.

It was great! I had never been to Detroit. You can tell that there has been a lot of revitalization effort done in Cass Corridor. My husband and I plan to go with our daughter sometime soon.
I was there with my ticket buddy to see The National at The Masonic Temple. (Such an incredible show!) Before the show, we stopped by Slow's for BBQ.
Back to topic integrity, I agree that Third Man should be utilized for other PJ vinyl projects.

Slow's is a staple. Great place. Try Mercury Burger Bar right across the street from there next time. Also very good.
I've seen more RNRHOF rumors out there. Cool idea if they did that. Thinking this will be worth the wait.

What if it is a vinyl pressing from one (or all) of the digital tracks on the upcoming Vault?
head just exploded!

We're makin' a list and checkin
it twice. All 2016 Analog Members will be receiving the package in the
coming weeks. We apologize for the delay. Good things to come!
Funny though, if that is indeed what it is, that the 2016 single would include a performance from 2017...
Yeah, one that everybody and their mother has already seen. Don't need another version of Alive, Betterman, or Given to Fly, thanks. Please Pearl Jam, I beg you, make some new music!

They still owe us the 2016 one, anyway.
They have a chance to really make up for the delay.
Murphy's EP
RRHOF performance (full performance)
and I also like the idea of the Soldier Field EP of the digital songs.
if they did a 10 or 12" of any of these I would be happy as hell.
they could knock out the 2016/17 singles in one release.
not holding my breath though.
