There is so much happening in the world right now … hang on to each other

News September 14 2017

There is so much happening in the world right now ... a seemingly endless string of heartbreaking events ... it feels relentless ...  forest fires across the western United States and Canada ... hurricanes, floods and wreckage in Texas and the southeastern States and the Caribbean … the hate marches and violence erupting in Charlottesville now cropping up around the country ... the earthquake in Mexico ... the threat of nuclear war from North Korea ... the famine in Yemen, South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria  ... the ethnic-cleansing in Myanmar (formerly Burma) ... the recent devastation in India, Nepal, Bangladesh ... the ongoing conflict in the Middle East … and more. So much more.

We wish we could reach out to each one of you individually because we know you're likely hurting from one or more of these things. Please know we are feeling all this too and thinking about everyone and trying to do as many things as we can to help as many people as possible. We know you're all doing the same. Hang on to each other ...

Just read this and honestly only five minutes before was reading in our local main paper the Herald/Sun here in Australia how Gene Simmons is touring the world offering 2 hours with him for $62,000 and some unreleased songs for those cashed up enough or dumb enough to pay
Which made me think, how much respect a little tiny fish like myself in a massive sea of world renowned artists has for somebody like Stone to offer something as a simple letter of support to the masses that need a lift in spirit right now,no matter how small
Hope Gene Simmons is a 10c member and reads Stone's letter of support and might ignite a train of thought is his head that with the empire of wealth he already possess he might donate even a fraction of that $62,000 to some poor souls that could really use some help
Guess fame does what it does on an individual basis,as does respect in the return, full respect to you Mr Gossard
And yes the fish has donated some of his little so called wealth.God luck to all doing it hard

I've been feeling completely overwhelmed with each day's new batch of shitty news. I don't ever remember things being this bad in so many different ways. That was a good letter and wise advice.I'm trying to hold on like everyone else.

    Near to death.
    Here to die.

  • Thanks for the note, Stone.

Lately it seems the loudest voices in this world are the ones filled with loathing.
I'm so glad the band — and we all — have a place where we can feel comfortable enough...to feel. Like the song says, "How do I feel?"
  • How do I feel? Is spot on considering the year our guys have had personally. They COULD have simply shut down and no one would blame them.

Thank you Stone . . . For your kind words, your empathy for those suffering around the world and for taking the time to remind us all to hang on and to take care of each other.  These thoughts and feelings are echoed back to you and yours.

I hope people remember that WE are the antidote to these heartbreaking events. It sounds simple, and probably trite, but everybody has daily opportunities to make things better. My hope is that we take advantage of those opportunities.
