I was watching Deadliest Catch last night and one of the deckhands started singing "where or where can my crabbies be".... lol...

I'm pretty sure that's gotta be some pearl jam influence as I expect most people in our age bracket aren't too familiar with the original.

Stepmom Julia Roberts character wants to take the kids to a PJ show and the mom, played by Susan Sarandon, said no, just so she could get the tickets and take the credit. Based in New York, 1998 - Would have been an epic show!

I remember feeling really pissed off at Susan Sarandon's character for that when I saw that movie. I thought "what a bitch! She doesn't even know their music!" when she stole the Pearl Jam idea from Julia Roberts, lol.

"Hellcab" from 1998 has TWO Pearl Jam songs: "Who You Are" about halfway through and "Hard to Imagine" at the end.
The movie is about a taxicab driver's day, which is basically an emotional roller coaster of a day. It's a very 90s movie with a bunch of unknown actors plus some very 90s talent, including Julianne Moore, Gillian Anderson, and John Cusack being creepy.

Oh, I forgot that part! Yes, it was good! The acting was good as well as the micro-stories. The cab driver is the thread throughout the movie and that actor did a great job. It clearly didn't come out of the Hollywood machine, where every act and plot point feels programmed down to the second.

my favorite version of Hard to Imagine. Still haven't seen the movie. I think I saw a little bit of it when ABC would show movies late at night

I imagine it could be a movie that people whose parent is dying of cancer might want to watch, or for kids who lost their mom or dad and maybe for those whose remaining mom or dad is getting remarried? Or for women getting into a stepmother role, or for a mom who is dying and leaving her kids to a stepmom she doesn't even like, lol. It's actually a pretty good movie, for a movie about some kids' mother dying of cancer while their dad is in a relationship with a new woman, and how the kids and the dying mom and the new stepmom handle all that. I'm pretty sure the film was made to express the difficulties, successes, and failures that come with tough family situations like that - kind of like a way to help people and perhaps give them hope in such hopeless situations. I'm sure it was a comforting film for a lot of people.
