Let’s Play Two is a concert film that chronicles Pearl
Jam’s legendary performances at Wrigley Field during the Chicago
Cubs historic 2016 season. With Chicago being a hometown to Eddie
Vedder, Pearl Jam has forged a relationship with the city, the Chicago
Cubs and Wrigley Field that is unparalleled in the world of sports and
music.
From Ten to Lightning Bolt, the concert film shuffles through Pearl
Jam’s ever-growing catalog of originals and covers -- spanning the
band's 25-year career. The film includes exclusive interviews and a
behind-the-scenes look as the Wrigleyville neighborhood transitions
seamlessly from the atmosphere of a Cubs' win to the anticipation of,
and preparation for, the concerts.
Through the eyes of renowned director/photographer Danny Clinch and the
voice of Pearl Jam, the film showcases the journey of this special
relationship -- using the past and present of both the band and the
Chicago Cubs through the music, the sweat and the eternal hopes of being
both: a Cubs fan and Pearl Jam fan.
So assuming this isn't a six hour film we know it's a compilation of both nights.
I don't think it was ever going to be a 6 hour film.
Not in theaters but use PJ20 as an example. It was a roughly two hour film then the DVD/Blu-Ray was three discs. One the movie, two, only the performances and third disc extras. I could totally see that.
Chicago will probably be Music Box of Gene Siskel Film center. Doubtful, but the Metro and Vic are open for those dates as well. Nothing up yet for us.
Nothing up yet at the Brattle in Cambridge, MA. That is where Pearl Jam Twenty was shown.
That was a fun night. I love the Brattle!

So, I take it Tuesday October 3rd will be the release date?
But I Want It Now!!!!!!
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.
The photo Drafthouse posted above I'm guessing maybe those who attend the Drafthouse screenings of the film will receive one of those sweet promo pennants? Or maybe something else.
This is super preliminary. Many more theaters will be included soon. No way that Alamo would show this in Lubbock but not in their biggest fan base and home town of austin. Find it funny that those rednecks in Lubbock spilled the beans tho

I emailed th Brattlem and they got right back to me saying they didn't have the fall schedule yet but hope to have some info next week. So they neither confirmed nor denied...but there is hope!
