    I think I am okay with this.  I am not a huge Gray fan, but they gave up pieces with risk.

    Having a bit of a tough time swallowing this trade.  If those guys come back healthy, this could look really good for the A's, especially if Gray isn't all that great.  If they don't and Gray is good, it'll be a win for the Yanks.  Gotta do it and at least he is under control for a couple more years. The core is still here and there are still kids on the way.  Assuming Torres makes it to the big leagues they'll have a young core of Severino, Torres, Sanchez, Judge and Frazier.  That is not too shabby.  Include Hicks, Didi in that conversation and the makings of a very good team for a while.

    I really liked Kaprelian and Mateo, though I get Mateo doesn't necessarily have a position on this team moving forward.

    Weird C.C. being taken out early. Even when he would give up 5 or more runs. Girardi would leave him until the 7th or 8th.

    Refsnyder was traded to the Jays on July 23 for minor leaguer Ryan McBroom. He had been DFA'd to make roster space after the Frazier trade.

    Those jerseys for Players Weekend are silly. I don't care what the rest of the league does, the Yankees do not put names on the back of their jerseys.  I do credit Gardner, Holliday and Bird. The only smart ones that can now claim they are the only ones in the history of the Yankees to get their (real) names on the back of a Yankees jersey.

    That being said, I imagine if Jeter were still playing, he would have left his with no name as it should be.  There's some things you just don't mess with.
