oy, a Todd Frazier rental at that? Love the bullpen and guess you gotta give up a big piece for d rob but damn.
Rutherford is so far away though.
Trying to talk myself into this but not really working...
It sounds like Kahnle was the biggest piece of this deal. The guy has been awesome this year and he's under team control through 2020. That Yankees bullpen is going to be ridiculous. Love what the Sox are doing....just keep stockpiling these prospects.0 -

clue about him. The yanks pen is stacked.
i like Rutherford a lot. His numbers this year are just okay and he is in A ball still, but could be a good player.
Still mixed feelings on this trade, though I get it. Yanks have a ton of guys in the big leagues or close. Rutherford is a long ways away and even Harper is available if needed down the road. Rutherford was expendable and two solid bullpen arms are going to take a top 30 prospect at this point

nice trade for the short term, I think, especially the bullpen pieces. If Kahnle does as well as well as he's done with the White Sox, it might be possible for a Betances trade, at least based on some things people have said. I wouldn't trade Betances because you can never have enough good relievers in this day and age. I like Rutherford, but they have a glut of outfielders which will be more noticeable whenever Aaron Hicks returns from the DL.Reading 2004
