How would he do that unless he asked prior to doing it?  President Trump is merely asking about the powers he has and how to use them.  Research really.  If I was the leader of the free world I would want to know all who are working for me.

    Your suppositions about Trump's good intent are no different than the suppositions about his ill intent you so frequently condemn. Both viewpoints are unsubstantiated (some more than other, depending on who you ask), but yours go against what we know about Trump's character, whereas your adversaries' are in line with a man who has exploited loopholes to exclusively benefit himself, other stakeholders be damned.
