Wow. Wasn't associated with his music to be honest, but man, condolences to his family and people around him. Rest easy.Post edited by RideTheWave93 on0

Very very sad. I feel for his children and family.0

Very sad situation. Thoughts are with his family. RIP.0

The guy was a surefire perfect replacement for Weiland while he sang with STP. I've been an on and off Linkin Park fan since the first album, and to have him and Cornell leave us is incredibly saddening.0

Awesome thanks. ^^^^
i remember at the time thinking that maybe a promotor put those shows together to move more seats? But it made a lot of sense. Avocado and Minutes to Midnight were the albums of that time and both had the same exact theme with Chester's lyrics being a bit more obvious and direct in regards to bush and war.Post edited by cp3iverson on0 -

I loved Faint and Lying from You, but Given Up became my favorite for running. That song blared in the weight room at work throughout the summer of 2007 and my co workers would come in and give me that look like, "WTF?" Usually after that last elongated scream. Although, the Slipknot usually disturbed everyone more. Wasn't always a fan, but respected how they evolved.drakeheuer14 said:One of the best to ever scream..
Faint and One Step Closer are still two of my go to songs. But my all time favorite... Lying From You.
Rest easy dude.

Six kids. Honestly my reaction to this is pissed off. This was obviously thought out and planned ahead of time based on coordinating with Cornell's birthday. Ask for help! You have six kids.
I am just giving my honest response here. I understand the power of depression and despair and perhaps he was on drugs. But you have six kids, time and money.
Just another example than fame fame and money isn't everything.0 -
As far as the kids thing ive come to the conclusion that your rational thinking and parental instincts must be totally gone at that moment.
As a parent tho that's always my first thought too.
i wish depressed people and suicidal folks could get the help they need. All of them. Its not embarassing its a disease. Family members who shame depression are ridiculous.
Another great artist, who spoke out for many social issues, is gone. So many great memories involve his music playing in the background. They separated themselves pretty quickly from their genre. Very unique sounding band.Post edited by cp3iverson on0 -
So sad to hear this very sad news. My prayers and condolences to his family, friends and fans. May he rest in peace."A beacon on dry land"0
