If Judge continues to play at this pace. He could be the 3rd player to win ROY and MVP in the same season.

How many Home Runs you think Judge will hit in the 2nd half? My guess: 18 to end with 48 for the season. Could he reach 60? Will ther be excuses if he slumps in the 2nd half, because of the Derby?

I wish Judge would've hit first in the Derby, just to see how many he could've hit. Gotta give Bour a lot of credit. He just went up against a MONSTER!!

This one I actually liked better than Hamiltons run and only because I'm a Judge fan so I'm biased...
Yeah this was awesome. The new format is so cool. If I remember correctly, Hamilton was awesome but it was largely the first round he went insane
I have to look it up but I believe Hamilton jacked 28 in that first round.  He kept on trying to hit it out of the park in left center.  I never understood why he didn't try and put it over the short porch in right.

I got this from another source:

    Some Home Run Derby math...

Aaron Judge hit a total of 47 home runs last night (48 if you count the one that HIT THE ROOF!) which is good for 2nd all time behind Giancarlo Stanton's 61 last year. However, Judge did this with approximately a full rounds worth of time left (4 minutes). Had he batted the full time in every round plus bonus time, his night might have looked something like this:

    Round 1: 23 (full time)

    Round 2: 13 in 3 minutes. (Avg 4.3/min)
If he hit the full 4 minutes plus bonus time, he would have trended towards an extra 6.5 home runs. Theoretical Round 2: 19.5

    Round 3: 11 in 2 minutes. (Avg 5.5/min)
If he hit for the full 4.5 minutes, he would have had an extra 5.5 home runs x 2.5 minutes = 16.5! Theoretical Round 3 = 27.5 (also would have tied Josh Hamilton's single round record...if you round up!)

Had he batted earlier in the order and forced to bat the full time, he could have hit 70 home runs (plus or minus a few) which would have crushed Stanton's record of 61...

    And he's a rookie...

I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Not sure I like this deal. Rutherford is a low level guy and the outfield looks to be stacked, plus Harper gonna be on the market, but I feel like you gotta get more than this for the yanks 3rd prospect

oy, a Todd Frazier rental at that? Love the bullpen and guess you gotta give up a big piece for d rob but damn.

Rutherford is so far away though.

Trying to talk myself into this but not really working...

Basically giving up a top low level prospect for 1.5 years of d rob, betances and chapman.

Got Robertson, Frazier, and Kahnle while getting rid of Clippard and giving up a couple prospects? Great deal.

I think it's great. Clippard is kind of a bum. Kahnle and Robertson have been better than our other options for the seventh. I didn't see Rutherford making it into our outfield anytime soon. Frazier is another low average hitting third baseman with more pop than Headley. The bullpen is where we needed help.

Clippard had a bad stretch. I wouldn't call him a bum. I think they might use Frazier at 1st?
