I wouldn't be so fast to assume that Arrieta's gone. Old man Lackey will probably retire and Quintana could fill that spot.
Word around the campfire is the Cubs contacted Detroit about sending Schwarber for Fulmer and Avila. If that happens - and I assume that's a big IF - it's then probably safe to say goodbye to Jake in the offseason.

You're going to love Quintana. Not that W-L record really matters for pitchers, but he has had some of the worst run support in all of baseball the past 5 years. Had a brutal start to this season, but has been very solid as usual over his last 7-8 starts. Guy is a workhorse and his contract is one of the best deals in baseball for his production. Wouldn't call him an ace, but definitely a high end #2 guy...0 -

Love what Rick Hahn is doing. It's sucks to see them get rid of all these guys like Sale, Eaton and Quintana but that's what you have to do to rebuild when you've drafted like complete garbage for a decade.0 -

That documentary on the Indians "almost dynasty" was very enjoyable. Really liked watching that team play back in the daywww.myspace.com0

Whatever the Jacob's Field stadium capacity is, I remember the Indians retiring that number for the fans for having a bunch of consecutive sellouts for like a 5 or 6 year period in the 90's. Always thought that was pretty cool.

I think the Red Sox have 49 million reasons as to why they should have included a weight clause in Sandoval's contract like the Giants were going to in their contract proposal to fat ass.Tom Brady & Donald Trump, BFF's

Yeah, good thing they traded away Travis Shaw so that Fat Panda could keep a spot.
Shaw this year before the break?
.299
19 HRs
65 RBI
30 BB
7 SBs
(70 ks, but everyone strikes out these days)
The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

Compared to Sandoval's entire Red Sox career (161 games so essentially 1 full season on a 5 year contract):
.237
14 HR
59 RBI
.646 OPS
Maybe the worst ever free agent contract in sports history.
This weekend we rock Portland0 -
So he made $6.78 Million for each HR he hit.
And $1.61 Mil per RBI

One of those rare intra division trades between the Marlins and Mets. While it's a good trade for the Marlins for the future. it makes their already bad bullpen worse.I miss igotid880
