It doesn't happen all the time and not always w/ terrorist attacks but it happens often enough in the press. Here is Marco Rubio spouting off. I will find more examples later but this is not what the thread is about.

But Rubio isn't one of the victims, so that doesn't count as an example.

That is true.
And the media is waiting for the next one to happen. They have the stories already written they just have to change the name. It will be sensationalized for a few days then again will disappear. That story seems ancient now in the world of media, social or TV.

Looks like there wasn't really much to update until today. Apparently today he was finally arraigned today in federal court. They added a charge as well.
