    Not sure if you meant this as a joke but this is the sort of mentality that gives common sense gun law advocates a bad name. As long as there's one or two outliers to point to and say "see they do want to take all of our guns!" then it's hard to make any significant progress.

    The founders didn't weigh in on firearm registration, you have to twist pretty far to imagine the 2nd amendment is definitive.

    Also, the founders were a bunch of rich white guys who owned a bunch of poor black people, so you will have to forgive me if I occasionally think that their ideas and convictions are outdated to the point of ridicule.
