Has there been a better triple-punch start of a show this shows:
1. Release
2. Oceans
3. Nothingman
I'm not even the biggest fan of Oceans. But thats a great start of a show.0 -

For me, Charlottesville 2013:
Pendulum
Release
In My Tree
I'm also a big fan of Memphis 2014:
Pendulum
Wash
Low Light
I absolutely love Pendulum, so the 2013-2014 shows with the slow builds were perfect to me."It's best to live in grace before you're forced to." EV- 10/09/20140 -
I definitely prefer the slow burn start of a show that became common on the LB tour... work up to the hard stuff... what's the rush, we've got all night0
-
I like my shows like I like my sex
Tailgate for a few hours to get ready
rush to the front
walk on to Metamorphosis 2
fast start
no elderly woman
no piss breaks
Smoke a few bowls during encore breaks
Over 3 hours
The whole world will be different soon... - EV

Amsterdam 2 2012- Release in the encore
Quebec City 2016- Wash in the encore
These 3 shows are exceptions to the rule and are highlights in my collection.
To stay on topic:
Vancouver 2013
Oceans
Can't Keep
Low Light
I also enjoy the Euro 2014 shows with Black early in the set.
Vienna 2014
Long Road
Can't Keep
Black
We really are lucky to be fans of such a great band that puts great care into making every show unique."It's best to live in grace before you're forced to." EV- 10/09/20140 -
Someone needs to do some statistical analysis here0

I'm more in favour of the "hard and fast" openings personally. TO1 '16 gets off on a great start with Go (with a weird Why Go drum opening), DTE, Mind Your Manners.....
Then they go into all of Binaural.... with a few more good rockers....0 -

I smile, but who am I kidding...0 -
The "fast" or harder openings used to be a lot more frequent before 2013 when they had opening bands and played 2 hours... now that they have stopped fucking around and are pushing 3 hours every show I MUCH prefer the slower atmospheric 2-3 song openers0
