Yeah, the internet has been particularly intolerable since CC's death. Enough already.Blredyellow said:The internet can be a horrible place. Social media is even worse.

Wow, that's disturbing. I just checked it out. Family no doubt hurting... but this looks like an ugly Twitter rant created while emotions are obviously high. Something best handled privately. And the casual Twitter follower chiming in on matters they know very little about doesn't help either.CantKeepmedown said:I'm sure this will get deleted, but CC's mother in law is on twitter going hard after one of Chris' "friends" that has not been in contact with the family. That's something that's happened several times relating to the story... people taking a blip and running with it.- Chris included Zeppelin's "In my Time of Dying" during last song, so surely that must have been a sign. Turns out the band has done that at other times during past shows
- Somebody on this board wondered aloud if Chris was looking out at the audience during the last show at all these people that have now reached middle age... that somehow that got him depressed and reeling. Good Lord.
- People saying that his vocals lagged behind the music and therefor he was out of it during the last show... again, I've seen and heard Chris tinker with different styles a lot in a live setting, altering several songs slightly.

            Just this:
Meanwhile, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, who performed with Cornell in Temple of the Dog, told the Seattle Times, “Chris Cornell painted in song the darkness and beauty of life in Seattle. Chris means a lot to me today, as he trusted me to play on Temple. He handed me a dream in getting to actually play on beautiful songs. Informed how I would play on Pearl Jam records in the future, I believe. Gave me the break into the music business I’d wanted since I was 11. He was a friend I will miss. I miss you, brother.”0

Obviously none of us know what's really going on during this terrible, horrible situation.
To call out Eddie like this...is this account even real?0

Ugly "article" on a gossip site today, too.
None of this brings him back or makes life any better.
Checking out of this thread ...0

Please. Gossip is not ok here...let's keep it on the high road. Chris deserves the dignity of that. Thank you.

I listened to the bonus disc last night, it's pretty freakin awesome. I'm not usually one to care much for a disc full of demos & outtakes but this one is really good. I'd never heard Flutter Girl so I don't know how it compares to the Euphoria Morning version, but the Singles demo is really, really good. Probably my favorite on the disc along with McCready's & Westerberg's instrumentals.lolobugg said:IATL can't wait to listen to his solo "demos" from the Singles Soundtrack.
