I have been thinking about that one lately as well. There really isn't anyone that sings like him anymore.goldrush said:I can't get past this one right now...
 "Heaven sent hell away
No one sings like you anymore"Sometimes you find yourself
Having to put all your faith
 In no faith0

"I'm looking California and feeling Minnesota"

I loved that since my ears were first blessed with those words... Still do to this day. Just something real and beautiful/haunting about it. Definitely my favorite SG album.

and so many people assume that line is knocking minnesota. I remember a long time ago Chris was asked about the meaning, and if in fact that was the case, and he said it could actually be taken the opposite way as well. or slagging both.goldrush said:

Blind Dogs has always been one of my favorite songs. It's difficult to pick just one lyric because Chris really had a gift for painting pictures with his words. I haven't been able to listen to any of his music since he died, but I may try to today.
 "Blind Dogs"Run away
 Now it's Halloween
Shave your head and burn your sheets
Evil could be right next door
 What do blind dogs believe?
 I don't want to knowBlind
 Following blindRun away
 Now it's Halloween
The safe bet is on your knees
Bow your head to the Trinity
 That's what blind dogs believe
But I've heard that beforeDead on my feet
 While my nightmare walks
 I fell asleep
 Where the freeway talks
Suffer to swim and dying to sink
 These things in the air
 They will make you think
Make you think"It's best to live in grace before you're forced to." EV- 10/09/20140

            Sweet Euphoria
Mine is the heart you ownYou lost the grace of the hands that harmed you In the daze of a thousand yawns Lost my love, as it is I'm truly gone In your morning I will sleep
 Fire on an open palm
Death for Jesus and plastic armies
 Wouldn't bring me back again
Sweet as ether eyes I'm blind to themAnd in your aching hour
 Time wilts like flowers
 Sleeping on land-mine pillows
Tired angels save my love for the lasting oneSweet Euphoria mine is the heart you stole
Touched and broken are the things you love
Using stars to light your candles
Warms my face but I can't remember yours
Gone are your dandelions falling like mine
 Falling like daydream mangos
 Diving swallows
 Save my love
 Save my love
Save my love for the lasting one0

I killed myself, threw away my mental health but nobody was blinking an eye
Backyard, basement, falling on the pavement
Nothing Left to Say But Goodbye
Nothing Left to Say But Goodbye

            I'm thinking of your highness
And crying long upon the loss
 I've found
And on the plus and minus
 zero chance of ever
Turning this aroundWhy doesn't anyone believe
 In loneliness
Stand up and everyone will see
Your holinessThey say if you look hard
You'll find your way back home
 Born without a friend
 And bound to die alone0
