So, do you think that this officially makes PJ the most referenced band in the movies/pop culture in the last 30 years?
I mean, I know you mostly pay attention to what your familiar with and like but I can't recall hearing many similar references involving other bands.
I don't know know if they're the most referenced band ever but they're definitely up there.  although i can't really think of any others at the moment with this many.
I feel like bands with devoted followings get mentioned all the time in pop culture.. i.e. Phish. DMB, Pearl jam, etc.
Yes but there can only be one winner.....Pearl Jammmmm!!!!!!!!!!

not songs but two not mentioned that I've seen are Patrick Walburton's show Crowded that every episode was named after a PJ song and there were lots of references to PJ including one episode where he was taking his daughter to a PJ show.

Also saw an episode of the David Feherty show on Golf Channel where he interviewed woman's golfer Paula Creamer and she mentioned her favorite song was Alive.

Lois and Clark:  The New Adventures Of Superman
    Season 2 Episode 13 - Phoenix

Clark Kent buy's Pearl Jam tickets from his broker (Superman bought tickets from a scalper!) to take Lois on a date.   Shit happens, Lex Luthor comes back to life, and he gives the tickets to Jimmy Olsen.

Given my username, I thought I'd toss the reference out there.

I was watching Deadliest Catch last night and one of the deckhands started singing "where or where can my crabbies be".... lol...

I'm pretty sure that's gotta be some pearl jam influence as I expect most people in our age bracket aren't too familiar with the original.

Stepmom Julia Roberts character wants to take the kids to a PJ show and the mom, played by Susan Sarandon, said no, just so she could get the tickets and take the credit. Based in New York, 1998 - Would have been an epic show!

I remember feeling really pissed off at Susan Sarandon's character for that when I saw that movie. I thought "what a bitch! She doesn't even know their music!" when she stole the Pearl Jam idea from Julia Roberts, lol.
